I am a passionate Citrix ADC (NetScaler) engineer with more than 15 years of working with Citrix technologies, with a strong focus on security and automation. From that passion, I was able to start my own company to assist customers with all sorts of challenges, while also trying to give back to the community as much as possible. I am the lead developer of CoreLogic, a configuration framework for Citrix ADC. This blog serves to gather all my knowledge for the community, as well as a documentation repository for myself.

The use of deb-packages through apt-get felt so natural that I never got around to using Red Hat or Fedora in a sensible way (yum always felt broken). I became a heavy user of Ubuntu Server in my homelab, which is still Debian-based, as I wanted to run some more bleeding-edge packages on my servers (at the cost of more maintenance and possible issues).

Managing a Hugo theme using git submodules

Introduction For this Hugo-powered website, I decided to use the Toha theme, available on Github. Although the documentation has a great “Getting started” guide, I was missing some steps on how to upgrade a theme to its current version. Following some comments, apparently this is not something that is done often, unless there are significant updates in either functionality or layout. I tend to disagree, so I want to make sure I have the correct steps at hand.
